Database of LCA in England
Countryscape, in partnership with Diacono Associates and the University of Sheffield, has produced an online database of Landscape Character Assessment in England, which features an interactive map, providing links to locally held information. This is the first time that such data has been made readily available via the internet.
Countryscape has been involved in every aspect of this project: designing the database; developing the website and data-collection form; engaging with the national landscape community through targeted mailings; and generating publicity for both the data-collection exercise and final launch of the product. The database continues to be updated and maintained by the landscape community.
