Illustration and Visualisation

Countryscape combines computer modelling with graphic design and hand-drawn techniques to provide a broad range of illustration and visualisation services - from thematic maps and 3D models, to masterplans, diagrams, sketches and even cartoons - all of which can be used to help prioritise issues, make decisions and stimulate creative thinking.

Through our partners, we are also able to offer virtual reality (VR) Modelling of sites for use by design teams and stakeholders in community consultation activities. VR models can be fully interactive, allowing users to navigate freely and smoothly around an environment to assess lines of sight and other considerations. Video fly-throughs can also be produced, focusing on specific routes or locations within a site.

Examples of work range from developing a series of ‘future landscape scenarios’ for the Natural England exhibition at the Royal Show 2006, to the production of sketches and masterplans working alongside local communities as part of the Irk Valley Project, Manchester.
